Sheringham is proud of the wealth of art reflecting its heritage to be found in the town. The murals on the Tank on the East Promenade are designed and painted by the 6th form art students at Sheringham High School. We rotate the display by introducing 2 new panels each year to ensure the work remains up to date and relevant.
One of our local artists, Colin Seal, has painted the historical murals at the bottom of the High Street and also with the collaboration of visitors to the beach, the murals of sea life along the Promenade. He was also instrumental in getting local children involved in painting a steam train in the bus stop shelter outside Otterndorf Green.
Other local artists have contributed to the Art and Sculpture trail along the cliffs and sea front, and these certainly add an extra dimension to a visit to Sheringham.
